Open Pores?

Large open pres are more common if you have oily skin. The skin stretches to allow excess sebum to escape and doesn’t returen to its original shape. While you can’t actually reduce the size of your pores, there are different ways to make them look tighter.

Microdermabrasion

A virtually painless alternative to a chemical or laser peel, microdermabrasion is superb not only for open pores but also for blackheads, whiteheads, fine lines, wrinkles, sun-damaged, superficial age spots, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks(40-50% improvement), oily skin and dry or patchy problems.

Minimising pores at home

Unblock pores with Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion in a jar or Perscriptives Dermapolish system.

After Microdermabrasion

On virgin skin after having a microdermabrasion make sure to use SPF 50+ on your fragile skin to protect it from UV rays.

Shoe Shopping

Fitting

Always try on both shoes at a fitting because most of us have one foot bigger than the other. Shop for shoes in the evening, when your feet are a little bit swollen, and that way your new shoes wont pinch you as much next day.

Can’t find big shoes?

Get into stores early, chose dark rather than light colours, light colours will make your feet look even bigger. Go for round toes with a heel, as opposed to pointy ones, which elongate the foot. The worst of all are cowboy boots - they’ll give you Yeti foot!

New shoes too small?

This stretching trick only really works if you’re having to widen your shoes. Slingback sandals can have extra holes punched in, your best bet is perhaps to go for open toed sandals, don’t worry about your toes poking out a little bit, just don’t wear gravy-coloured seam-toed tights!
